Updated: Nov 21, 2020
East Austin Culinary Studio is now open for cooking classes in East Austin (Mueller to be exact). During this next year we are going to be working tirelessly to bring you the tastiest cooking classes Austin has to offer!
This year we are going to be focusing on cooking 101, Thai, Pho, Indian, Persian, Ethiopian, and Italian cooking class.
Drooling yet? Me too.
Here are 5 reasons you should take a cooking class at East Austin Culinary Studio:
1. Hands-on and Demonstration Classes: Learning to cook is easy in our studio with options for hands-on or demonstration style classes it's up to the instructor and class menu. Personally, I love taking both styles of classes. Sometimes I have to put on an apron and get my hands dirty. Other times I want to kick back and watch and learn sipping my favorite beverage. We have cutting stations with chef knives and cutting boards for each student.
2. Sparkly Clean: You'll be in good hands in our clean, modern, commercial kitchen. Yep, you read that right. Not only is the kitchen gorgeous, we are approved by the health department to ensure the safety of all of our students. EACS has to meet all health code standards to operate as commercial kitchen, and yep, we even have a commercial dishwasher! It's also pretty, and makes your dishes sparkly clean.
3. Cook like pro: You know the feeling of a new pair of running shoes that makes you feel soooo good your PR your race? The gear at EACS provides that same feeling! While you are in the studio, we outfit each student with a Hedley&Bennett apron, just like the ones chef's wear in kitchens and on t.v.. It's the little things, folks.
We also provide, chef knives and cutting boards for each student to use while they are at the studio,
4. Our classes are F.U.N.:
Facilitated by a professional whether they are experienced restaurant chef or an avid home cook, you are in good hands with our instructors.
United to create a thriving food community within Austin by sourcing seasonable, sustainable, local, and fresh ingredients.
Nonjudgmental; everyone has different skills and comfort levels in the kitchen, there is no shame starting at the beginning or asking what you think are 'dumb' questions. We are here to support your cooking journey and give you the confidence to grow and succeed in the kitchen.
5. Best chefs in Austin: We are working hard to bring the best of the best to EACS. We are choosing chefs and instructors who are the best at teaching! They might not be a household name, but they WILL be the BEST teachers in town.
Join us! You'll have no regrets, but a ton of FOMO if you don't!
